Sri Swamiji in Germany - Nada Prasara Tour (8-16 September 2003) Sri Swamiji arrived in Germany at the Friedrichshafen airport on the 8th September 2003. This town was the only place in this tour which had been on the first ever foreign tour by Sri Swamiji way back in 1976. After three days of rest by the Lake Konstanz. On 10th September Sri Swamiji flew in the famous Zappelin airship. This type of air transport conceived by the legendary aeronautical engineer Count Zappelin was very popular in the 30s and is a marvel today. The one hour flight flew over the border regions of Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This giant ship is lifted with the aid of helium gas. It was few days of quiet moments. On 12th September, Sri Swamiji drove from Friedrichshafen to Nekergemund. Sri Swamiji was warmly received by the members of Datta Yoga Center. Antje Fritz, chair person, the host family of Dr. Detlaf Krauth and others. Sri Swamiji then visited the small Ganapati shrine at home. The Bhajan “Pahi Pahi Gajanana" was sung. Sri Swamiji then retired for the day. On 13th September 2003, program was held in the Altemaelzerei Conference center in the town Mos Bach. Sri Swamiji performed Sri Chakra Puja. Susheela Hannolore Brunch gave welcome speech and explained the great happiness Sri Swamiji’s visit had brought to the devotees in Europe. Dasharatha Gunnar lit the traditional lamp and Antje Fritz offered garland to Sri Swamiji. Ms. Dillani performed Bharatanaatyam dance to the Bhajans “Alandu Alandu Vaa Vaa and Govinda Kanna Gopala Kanna”. Then Swami Manasa spoke about the need for a permanent center in Germany and then prompted Narendra Hans Fricke to speak. Narendra Hans Fricke presented a marvelous speech and a presentation about the proposed center in Germany, which could be the most important Ashrama branch outside India. He proposed the association of members who would support the project by offering letters of interest and participation, which was distributed. Sri Swamiji then spoke and Blessed the attempt of the European group to start an Ashrama. click here to read the text of Sri Swamiji's speech. Then devotees had the opportunity to come to Sri Swamiji in a queue and offer their respects. Special Kerala delicacy known as APPAM was distributed. On 14th September 2003, Sunday, Sri Swamiji visited the same conference center for the Sunday morning Sri Chakra Puja and Maha Ganapati Homa. This also was the last public event in this wonderful tour of Nada Prasara. It was no co-incidence that the first program in this last event was the European Datta Yoga Centre’s coordinators meeting with Sri Swamiji where they proposed the year 2004 tour of European countries. Sri Swamiji, after considerable thought accepted to visit Russia, England, Holland, Denmark, Germany and Switzerland. The tour commences in July and concludes in the end of August. After the Sri Chakra Puja during which Sri Swamiji explained the concept and the description of the Puja, Sri Swamiji went to the audience and walked among them to the great happiness and thrill of them. As Sri Swamiji was walking back to the stage, a young girl of about three years age started to follow Sri Swamiji and then even followed Sri Swamiji to the stage and behind the curtains. The public greatly enjoyed the spectacle of the child following Sri Swamiji. Then Sri Swamiji sang Bhajans and spoke. The Bhajan Jyoti Veligindi Sadguru Jyoti Veligindi was the last Bhajan on the tour. Sri Swamiji explained the meaning of the Bhajan. Then Sri Swamiji distributed the green Teertham powder which he uses for the daily Sri Chakra Puja to all those who were in the hall. This was the first time I have seen where Sri Swamiji gave away the sacred Teertham powder, He so carefully cherishes while doing the Sri Chakra Puja to all the people in the audience. Swamiji instructed that the powder be used very carefully and sparingly. Sri Swamiji then garlanded Narendra with a yellow rose flower Mala He was wearing. It appeared as though Sri Swamiji did not want the last program of this historic Nada Prasara world tour to end. Sri Swamiji was in the public till 2.15 PM. At 2.17 PM Sri Swamiji slowly got up and started to walk towards the back stage and exited through the first side screen on the left of the auditorium. On Monday 15th September 2003 Sri Swamiji walked through the woods behind the house of Dr. Detlaf Krauth. Sri Swamiji then sat in a swing in their house and happily chatted with the eight member Parivar which went with Sri Swamiji on this tour. Thus ended the 108 tour of Nada Prasara of Pujya Swamiji. Leaving India on 31st May 2003 and returning on 16th September 2003.

2001 Germany November im Schnee
5 Fotos
Sri Swamiji visited Germany from 16th to 27th November 2001. On 24th Saturday, Sri Swamiji gave Darshan to devotees and addresses them thus: I have been asked to address the gathering here today. I do not know what to speak. I cannot speak as I am overwhelmed. I see the greatness and depth of Mauna (Silence) which speaks by itself and I say that Silence is the most powerful way to God. The silence I am talking about is not out of one which comes out of external disturbances. I am talking about an in depth silent self state. External disturbances such as hunger, anger and day to day confusions and erratic thoughts only cause temporary silence. But true self is always silent. Thereby a seeking mind learns to be silent for its own good. We have to move inward, in-depth for a silent retreat. Then you will understand the potency of silence. I talk about Karna Samadhi (causing barrier to external sounds). It should not happen with cotton balls or any such thing. It has to happen by your volition and effort to close your eyes internally. You close your thoughts You look unto yourself. And this is hard work indeed. And that will lead to meditation automatically. Many people try to think too much of their future and what it can offer to them. And they plan. But for them silence would hardly mean much because they cannot switch off the mind easily from external temptations and attractions. You have to switch off ears, eyes, sounds, feelings, thoughts and bodily actions. Think of no matter or thing. No God. No sound and No Mantra. Because, your true self is beyond all this. So many Gurus say A mantra is important. But they interpret in their own way according to their tendencies. What is required is Chitta Shuddhi (purification of the self) of its external impurities. (Veils). At some level we are trying to purify ourselves by what you saw and did just now. Such as Pada Puja, Karma, children education, homes etc., All kinds of services including social service is part of good Karma and following the instructions of a Sadguru is also a good karma. You might interpret my messages differently depending on the occasion. There are so many varieties to reach the path of self. But the final goal and the final good comes when you have achieved Chitta Shuddhi (puriity of intellect). Atman is clear and the true witness and is always silent. We try to achieve silence. Different temperament of people leads them to different masters and they get imbalanced in their thinking. If at all we have to seek the true self through discipline, we have to have a balance in ourselves and that result is God. And that is a sign of Godliness. Depending upon your eagerness and urge, Atman himself takes the form of a Guru rewarding you with a proper guidance, So don't worry about following Gurus. You can follow the true knowledge and keep doing your regular Karma and duties without vitiating your mind. There are so many questions for which people want answers immediately. But look at the questions and consider them carefully and you must find the answers your selves. If you have a doubt that is sincere, it will be answered immediately and no interpretations is required from any other person because your life lives on experiences. So, all the five elements are at work to teach you through experience (Experiential knowledge). So, your own surrounding will be your teacher. Today we have a chaotic messy circumstance and there are natural calamities such as earth quakes, hurricanes etc., At the same time, our inner life is very much disturbed. We are not in calm waters of the ocean. There are too many waves of unwanted attraction sensory indulgences, heat , cold, disturbed mind,.... all in this ocean. In this small world, too many activities are taking place attracting your attention. Don't forget that you are responsible for yourself and not your Guru. Don't lose balance of mind and sensible approach and Guru. Later do not blame yourself also. Time is the all powerful healer and time will set things in proper and required momentum. Time will lead you to the right knowledge, clearing all your obstructions and controlling our future also. You must follow so called "Karma" in order to find freedom in true sense and you should not get attached to the results of the Karma. Perform our duties diligently. I came to Germany because I wanted some little rest for this body. Because this body is also my devotee. I came to see you all. I am sitting as the captain of my ship and those who believe in my experience are safe in this boat. I am a good book in your hands and study me very well. It may be one year, ten year or timeless. Teaching will come to you from all corners. Experience Sri Swamiji and His compassion and remember that you have no right to say about other's experiences unless you experience yourself something concrete and that is up to your Karma. This book (Sri Swamiji shows himself) is deep and has many pages. Do not be in confusion. Do not be in conflict. It is time to set our destiny in true contemplation and experience. Our journey has no stops. Do not hate yourself or hate others and we should not be escapists from our duties. We have a duty towards your husbands, wives, home, children, future and you cannot escape your spiritual goals also. Spirituality came by birth and even at the end of your journey you are spiritual. Think about Vedanta and the last word says you practice Mauna, Silence. Silence that is internal and silence that is absolute. If you follow your Dharma, just follow it implicitly and don't question. That is what your master says to you. In this little accident, many people prayed for me. That is why I am here in Germany responding to your call. May the Lord Almighty Bless this world. Jaya Guru Datta

On His third visit to Denmark, Pujya Sri Swamiji arrived in Copenhagen on Wednesday the 6th September at 3 PM. There was a warm and devotional reception by many devotees in the Copenhagen airport. Sri. Chandra Shekar of Larsen and Toubro of Madras with his family accompanied Sri Swamiji to Denmark. On Thursday and Friday Sri Swamiji rested and played music for most of the time. On Saturday, Sri Swamiji visited the Datta Yoga Center in Roskilde and performed Sri Chakra Puja. Sri Swamiji was presented the Datta Mala and Sukti Manjari published in Danish language. Sri Swamiji released three books translated from English. They were "Silent Teacher" by Shabari of Switzerland, "Experiences with the Holy Master" by Ramesh Pragg of Trinidad and "Vedanta II". Sri Swamiji praised the efforts of the translation, publishing and editorial members. Sri Swamiji then gave healing stones to everyone present there. Sri Swamiji then in a speech spoke on what Sri Swamiji expects from Datta Yoga Centres and how they should function. Sri Swamiji further mentioned that the Datta group is not a sect of a party of religious zealots. Sri Swamiji after coming out of the function saw children playing with a ball and joined them and played with them for a while. In the afternoon Sri Swamiji visited the local hospital and visited the children section and Blessed them. Then Sri Swamiji visited a very scenic place in Denmark where high calcium cliffs meet the sea. Sri Swamiji went down 495 steps to go down to the sea. After spending about 30 minutes, Sri Swamiji returned. On Sunday, the 10th, the last Sri Chakra Puja and Maha Ganapati Homa of the tour were performed. Sri Swamiji in the speech, reflected on the tour so far and expressed happiness. The open air atmosphere, lush green surrounding and the cool climate enhanced the program. Sri Swamiji then materialized Vibhooti from a flower bouquet just presented. Sri Swamiji then offered Purnahuti to the Maha Ganapati Homam. Then Sri Swamiji put Gandham (Sandal wood paste) on the throat region of all present there. Sri Swamiji then gave spiritual names to about 100 persons upon their request. In the evening a music for meditation and healing concert was held in Wega, a concert theater in the heart of Copenhagen. It was one of the best musical event of Sri Swamiji. The Ragas Keeravani, Vitapi and Gana Murti were compelling. Especially Keeravani stirred the hearts of many. Sri Swamiji gave the opportunity for Tani Avarthanam and then when going through the back stage mentioned that while developing the Raga, Sri Swamiji felt very emotional and tears formed in the eyes. "Keeravani was one of the first Ragas I played on the Sitar in early seventies and it had profound impact on me" said Sri Swamiji. This candid expression goes to explain the superb playing of the Keeravani Raga that evening. Sri Swamiji went around the audience while Shankar Ramesh played intricate and enjoyable Tani Avarthanam. His deft movements and thunderous playing invoked a long applause from the audience. Sri Swamiji wielding the crystal wand went from row to row and Blessed, healed and conveyed benedictions to the sick and the needy. Earlier, before the concert started, Indra welcomed the gathering, Mukunda Jeppson lit the inaugural lamp and Agastya Seikritt gave garland to Sri Swamiji. The Ambassador of India, Mr. Shashank was present. The concert lasting over three hours concluded at 10.30 PM. Later, the packed house came to Sri Swamiji in a row and offered their respects. This was the last event of the 84 day world tour of Sri Swamiji in the west in this first year of this millennium. Sri Swamiji left Copenhagen airport for Delhi on 11th September at 6 PM. Sri Swamiji arrived in Mysore Ashrama at 12 noon on Wednesday the 13th September 2000. We trust and hope that you all enjoyed the offering of this tour of Sri Swamiji on the Internet. Understanding and acknowledging my limitations, an honest effort to cover the events as I discovered, has been attempted.

2000 August Pujya Sri Swamiji speaks on Vedanta in Egham UK
4 Fotos
For three days on August 30th, 31st and September 1st, Sri Swamiji gave lectures on Vedanta at the historical Halloway college in Egham, Surrey. Sri Swamiji arrived in Egham on 29th evening and was welcomed by the participants and a Scottish bag piper led the procession from the entrance to the Vedanta lecture place. Sri Swamiji was enthralled by the playing of the bag pipe instrument and was pleased with its soft and colorful sound. The procession being led by a pipe instrument resembled the traditional reception in South India with a Nada Swaram. In the reception function, Sri Radha Krishna, course instructor gave a brief over view of the teachings in the coming three days. Sri Swamiji spoke briefly and conveyed the message that there would come a moment in everybody's life, when he would think of the deeper truths of his existence. The coming three days would start that process, said Sri Swamiji. For the next three days, Sri Swamiji led the participants through the intricate path of Advaita Vedanta and in a fourteen lesson system, Sri Swamiji demolished the myths and illusions of our concept of I, Ego, attachment to body and the senses etc. The simplicity of the presentation and lucid examples to prove the point made the participants feel that they were not being subjected to the haughty and complexity of Vedanta learning. The rich greenery which surrounded the entire campus of Royal Halloway University complimented the subject of the course and one could easily spot participants sitting alone in the nature, contemplating that day's lecture. More than 150 participants from England and main land Europe participated.
